Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 100 radiologists. All with exceptional skill and expertise, most are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty for additional certification. We are dedicated to accurate and efficient patient diagnoses no matter their condition. Our interventional radiologists perform some of the most leading‑edge treatments available today. We partner with primary care physicians and hospitals across Colorado and Hawaii to provide a resource for both patients and physicians.
Summaryof Position
The Medical Administrative Assistant largely supports the administrative operational aspects of RIA Neurovascular. Duties typically include, but are not limited to, scheduling patient exams and office visits, processing imaging requests and referrals, obtaining prior authorizations for services, assisting with front‑office responsibilities, obtaining patient vital signs, and rooming patients. The role also provides additional assistance to other departments on an as needed basis.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Direct workflow for RIA Neurovascular Clinic – this position is ~90% administrative
- Provides professional customer service by greeting patients, front desk duties with answering phones, setting up office visits with established patients and new patients
- Assists patients with questions, concerns or directions
- Front desk check‑in including collecting paperwork, insurance and identification and entering information into the electronic medical record
- Work with various computer interfaces
- Maintain clean and orderly waiting area and exam rooms
- Prepare patients to be seen by Physician, NP, or PA by bringing patient to clinic room and recording initial concerns
- Document vital signs to include blood pressure, pulse oximetry, heart rate, temperature, height and weight
- Document patient’s medical information, including medical history and other pertinent information into patients Electronic Medical Record
- Contact referring physician offices to obtain records and coordinate care
- Prepare and organize all paperwork and previous exams/reports for the Radiologist prior to patient’s appointment
- Coordinate proper and complete scheduling of same‑day add‑on patients, including obtaining all necessary information on short notice
- Collaborate with staff/radiologists, referring physician offices, and patients to identify and correct patient‑related issues
- Process imaging orders and schedule follow‑up appointments once imaging completed
- Assist with processing new patient referrals
- Obtain prior authorizations for services when needed
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with patients, patient family members, co‑workers and providers
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- All other duties as assigned by office manager and office lead
- Previous medical office experience required, but willing to accept various backgrounds
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to effectively communicate with internal staff/radiologists, referring physician offices and patients
- Medical terminology and scheduling experience preferred

Compensation is between $20 to $26 per hour. In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associate’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis and will remain open until filled.

Full‑time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part‑time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro‑rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
