Schedule: General business hours; M-F 8am - 5pm

Payroll Specialist Role Summary
The Payroll Specialist supports the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This role is responsible for calculating wages, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations, processing deductions, and generating payroll reports. The Payroll Specialist must demonstrate strong attention to detail, maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information, and be proficient with payroll systems to ensure seamless operations. This role also serves as a point of contact for payroll inquiries and discrepancy resolution, contributing to a positive employee experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits accurately.
- Verify and maintain employee time records, attendance, and leave balances.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax with holdings.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and required tax filings, including W-2s, 1099s, and other related documents.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate integration of payroll data across systems.
- Stay informed of changes to payroll laws, tax rates, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and assist with payroll-related reporting as needed.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
