Senior Storage & Infrastructure Engineer

Description Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Sr. Storage & Infrastructure Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO. Duties and Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure storage infrastructure across block (Dell Power Max, Pure Storage), NFS/file (Dell Power Scale Isilon, Pure), and S3/object (MinIO, Pure) platforms
* Design, deploy, and operate VMware VCF (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager, Aria) including lifecycle management, upgrades, and capacity
* Deploy and maintain Dell and Cisco server infrastructure, including firmware, lifecycle, and hardware refresh
* Plan and execute storage, backup, and virtualization upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption
* Engineer data protection platforms, including Rubrik, Cohesity, and Veritas Net Backup: policy design, replication, immutability, and recovery workflows
* Manage and optimize replication and snapshot technologies (e.g., SRDF, SnapVX) to meet RPO/RTO objectives for mission-critical and protected applications
* Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle tasks using Ansible/AWX/AAP, Python, and Bash;
Use Net Box and MAAS as sources of truth and for bare-metal provisioning
* Conduct regular performance testing, capacity planning, and forecasting for storage and compute growth
* Develop and test disaster recovery and cyber-recovery plans, and validate recoverability on a recurring basis
* Participate in incident, problem, and change management in alignment with Incident and Change Management policies;
Provide on-call support as required Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in storage, systems, or site reliability engineering with enterprise block, file, and object platforms, including Dell Power Max, Dell Power Scale (Isilon), and Pure Storage
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience with enterprise data protection platforms such as Rubrik, Cohesity, and Veritas Net Backup
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Ansible (AWX/AAP) or Terraform
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience scripting or developing with Python or Bash
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and operating VMware virtualization, including VCF/vSphere, on Dell and Cisco server hardware
* Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Splunk) used to track platform health, performance, and capacity
* Hands-on experience with NFS and S3/object storage (e.g., MinIO, Pure Flash Blade)
* Knowledge of SAN fabrics, IP networking, Kubernetes, Git, Linux and Windows administration, and data center operations
* Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and to work under pressure with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical teams and programs
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Knowledge of FCC compliance reports and other applicable rules and regulations
* Knowledge of cable television or related technologies
