Overview

As a Parts Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing components and finished products according to specifications. You will play a critical role in supporting production by ensuring that all assemblies meet quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Component Assembly:
    Assemble parts and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications. Ensure all assemblies are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspection and Testing:
    Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and functionality. Perform tests to ensure products meet required performance standards.
  • Documentation:
    Accurately document assembly and inspection results, including any deviations or non‑conformances. Maintain records of completed work.
  • Inventory Management:
    Work with the production team to ensure that all necessary materials and components are available. Notify supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Tool Maintenance:
    Maintain and clean assembly tools and equipment. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor.
Parts Assembler Career Levels

This role is structured into three levels based on skills, experience, and responsibilities.

Level 1 – Parts Assembler (Entry‑Level)

Pay Range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour

Overview:
Entry‑level role focused on learning Reata’s assembly processes, quality standards, and safety requirements under close supervision.

  • 0–1 year of assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to follow work instructions and basic drawings
  • Performs basic assemblies and visual inspections
  • Developing proficiency with hand tools and shop safety
  • Requires regular guidance and oversight
Level 2 – Parts Assembler (Experienced)

Pay Range: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour

Overview:
Independently assembles components and subassemblies while maintaining quality, efficiency, and documentation standards.

  • 1–3 years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and work instructions
  • Performs inspections and basic functional testing
  • Accurately documents work and identifies defects
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
Level 3 – Parts Assembler (Advanced)

Pay Range: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour

Overview:
Highly skilled assembler who handles complex assemblies, supports training, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • 3+ years of assembly or related manufacturing experience
  • Assembles complex, high‑tolerance, or customer‑critical components
  • Troubleshoots assembly issues and proposes corrective actions
  • Assists with training and mentoring junior assemblers
  • Strong understanding of quality requirements and process control
  • Ability to work independently and lead the department
Level Placement & Progression

Placement within a level and progression between levels are based on demonstrated skills, performance, experience, and business needs.

  • Educational Background:
