RN ICU Medical Burn Unit

Full Time Nights 5pm - 5am

Join our American Burn Association (ABA)-Verified Burn ICU, an 8-bed specialty unit serving a five-state catchment area. Our unit is recognized for delivering the highest level of burn care with a collaborative, compassionate, and innovative approach.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that’s deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing – caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
  • Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
  • Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
  • Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient‑centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse licensure
  • Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Experience in acute hospital RN position, desired 1 year in medical/surgical/telemetry or Stepdown/ PCU
