American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Multi Trauma PCU position requiring at least 1 year of acute care PCU experience and CO or compact RN licensure.

• Work in a 20-bed Multi Trauma Unit (MTU) within a Level 1 trauma center
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Typical staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2-3 techs per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with charge nurse free of patient assignments
• Uses ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes
• Electronic medical record system is Meditech/CPN
• Highly acute trauma patient population including complex and critically ill patients

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required
• Experience managing chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suctioning required
• Ability to place chest tubes and perform bedside bronchoscopy procedures
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Care for highly complex trauma patients in a Level 1 trauma center setting
• Strong teamwork with supportive charge nurses and motivated nursing staff
• Reliable tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Collaborative physician relationships within the unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
