Job DescriptionWhat is a Salesperson? An entry‑level sales position that supports the DIY business and drives store sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system and part knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. In‑depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes is essential. The position can be part‑time or full‑time and fleet safety certification is preferred.
What is a Store Driver? An entry‑level store position that delivers parts to commercial customers. The candidate will safely deliver parts, assist with inventory processes, and support store operations. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and must be fleet safety certified.
Primary Responsibilities – Salesperson- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales targets
- Deliver DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Handle inventory processes such as truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock management
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
- General stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stocking
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use a delivery board system
- Friendly communication skills
- Proficiency locating and stocking parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Parts and automotive system knowledge
- Operating POS and parts lookup systems
- Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
Job Skills – Salesperson
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Effective communication and relationship building with customers, peers, and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure)
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
- General stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stocking
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use a delivery board system
- Friendly communication skills
- Proficiency locating and stocking parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems (back‑stock) and store equipment
