General Maintenance Technician

• Maintain gasoline‑related equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance; test leak detectors and product lines.
• Facilitate repairs by contacting service vendors for materials.
• Keep a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain cash registers, money‑order machines, and safes by troubleshooting, repairing, and reprogramming equipment.
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure continuity among work teams.
• Install, repair, and service heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain a healthy working climate.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules, restore and repair faulty HVAC equipment, and replace doors, plumbing, tiles, and other building components; paint as needed and recommend new HVAC installations.
• Maintain gas pumps by changing nozzles, hoses, splash guards, filters, and display boards.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment such as walk‑in coolers, novelty freezers, refrigerators, and fountains.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, use hand/electric carts, power and hand tools, crouch or crawl, use a ladder, and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with multiple, changing priorities; handle high‑priority, confidential, demanding business tasks.

The work environment is typically moderate noise, natural light and fluorescent lighting. The employee regularly sits, talks, and handles items, occasionally stands, walks, reaches, and lifts 5–10 lbs. Job duties may change with or without advance notice.

$20–$22/HR
