SPLICERWe’re seeking a skilled Coax and Fiber
Splicer to join our team in the Denver area. In this hands‑on role, you’ll perform coax splicing, fiber splicing, testing, and analysis on new and active networks. This role also supports network planning, scheduling, and assists with construction activities leading up to splicing and closeout. The ideal candidate is proficient in splicing coax cable 625, 875 and RG11.

- Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
- Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
- Utilize RF Meters and OTDR (Optical time domain reflectometers)
- Read CATV telecommunication design and prints
- Work in outdoor utility construction sites
- Perform loose tube and ribbon splicing in accordance with industry standards (TIA/RUS) and customer specifications
- Construct industry standard splice enclosures including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and proper sealing
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings and / or cut sheets to determine work to be done in sequence of task
- Ensure all splicing work meets technical and customer specifications
- Complete closeout documentation, including production sheets, checklists, and customer deliverables
- Ensure that work being performed considers the safety of all relevant parties
- Prioritize safety in all work activities, complying with established protocols and procedures
- Assist with physical Coaxial Cable network construction tasks
- All other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CMV license Required
- Have 1-3 years of experience splicing and sweeping
- Must have ability to splice coax cable 625, 875 and RG11
- Must have experience with FTTH networks (Coax/Fiber)
- Knowledge of EX FO and RF Power Meter equipment
- Reliable and able to work in a team environment
- Excellent reading skills to understand and comprehend all construction warning signs
- Follow all safety precautions and standards
- Able to work in a high-stress environment
- Tolerates a wide range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- The physical activity required for this role includes:
- Standing or walking for long periods of time
- Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
- Other repetitive movements, such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Manual dexterity
- Work in confined or elevated spaces
- Enter, maintain, and exit splice enclosures safely
- Enter manholes and aerial locations to retrieve splice enclosures
- Perform splicing in both indoor and outdoor environments under various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
