Job Description

We are seeking an energetic part-time Youth pastor for our Youth School ministry called
147 Youth. The pastor will report to our 147 Education Director. We seek a pastor who is passionate about sharing their love of Jesus Christ with Sunday school families and children in a team ministry environment. The ministry entails the guiding and leading of worship for this age and assisting in all aspects of Sunday school including programming, volunteers, and events as further described below:

· Shepherd and teach students

· Train volunteer teachers

· Direct weekly Youth worship and Special annual Education events

· Teach and preach for Friday Night Youth Program & Sunday Youth

· Services

· Prepare, lead, and organize special Events – Easter, Christmas, Bi-Annual Retreats, Summer Mission Trips, community service opportunities, etc.

· Weekly home visitations with students & families, offering discipleship, counseling, and spiritual guidance

· Coordinate and collaborate with other staff regarding ways to fulfill the church’s mission together

· Joint monthly staff meetings

· Assist in guiding ministry transitions

· Communicate and Delegate opportunities to serve together to the rest ofthe church

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Christian Education, Ministry, or a related field

· Seminary Graduate or currently enrolled student of an accredited seminary

· Pursuing Ordination, preferred

· Bilingual, preferred – Korean and English

· Experience in children’s and/or youth ministry or similar qualifying work experience

· Leadership skills necessary to administer Youth Ministry

· Effective communication skills with volunteer Sunday school teachers, parents, and children

· Excellent organizational skills

· Proficient with media and digital competencies

· Loves Youth and believes in discipling the next generation,

Compensation: part-time position

· Starting:
Salary $21,600/year + Professional Expense Budget, or Education Stipend if still in school. Part-time youth pastor at $1800/mo.
