Position: Director of Nursing (DON) - Home Care - Part Time PT

Reliant Home Health Care, a New Jersey home care agency, is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality of care provided to medically fragile children throughout New Jersey. He or she will also be responsible for supervising and training our nursing staff. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in a home care leadership position, a strong ability to work with a team, and an in-depth knowledge of the home health care industry.

Tasks
  • Lead RNs and LPNs in delivering the highest level of care to medically complex children and offering training/support to the nursing staff.
  • Ensure that each nurse on staff is properly certified and abides by the standards for care established by Reliant, accrediting body, and state and federal laws.
  • Maintain policies and procedures to ensure they continue to comply with regulatory standards and to help improve the level of care.
  • Implement quality improvement programs designed to help us deliver the highest possible levels of service.
  • Ensure that all patient care plans have the documentation necessary to provide the proper type of care.
  • Participates in human resource management to achieve quality service delivery and positive employee relations.
  • Participate in agency accreditation surveys.
Requirements
  • Current NJ Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of home care experience.
  • Prior pediatric home care experience as a DoN, Supervising RN, or a Case Manager preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of home health regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
