Airframe and Powerplant Specialist; Contingent Security Clearance

Position: Airframe and Powerplant Specialist (Contingent) with Security Clearance
Description
* Execute maintenance on various military aircraft as a Contract Field Team technician
* Travel for extended periods working at various locations
* Train on routing aircraft electrical wire harnesses, basic wire terminations and various other maintenance tasks
* Interpret technical manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings
* Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
* Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned
* Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures
* Maintain tool control and accountability
* Adhere to company policies and safety programs
* Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon contract award. Requirements Education/Training:
* High School diploma required
* Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
* Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required

Experience:

* 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
* Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements
* Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following (USAF, USN and US Army) aircraft records to include digital maintenance data systems
* Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc. Security:
* Must be a US citizen
* Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
* Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW Department of Defense Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC)
