Responsibilities- Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including Abdominal, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Arterial and Venous Vascular exams, Pediatric and Adult Echocardiograms, and guidance procedures, with independent judgment and initiative.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment.
- Call is required.
- Assists in patient transport.
- Proficiently utilizes Rad Net; uses Scheduling and Power Chart modules of Cerner for patient information entry and review.
- Able to assist in burning CDs for patient data copying.
- Able to proficiently send images and documentation for off-site review to imaging review service; troubleshoot transmission problems when they arise.
- Performs abdominal, OB-GYN, neuro, vascular, breast, and special procedures/exams (e.g., biopsies, amniocentesis) as required.
- Registered by the ARDMS in Vascular preferred; other registries a plus/benefit.
- Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually.
- Additional registry in cardiac and/or OB/GYN, Abdominal/general preferred.
- BLS required within six months of employment.
- Previous ultrasound experience required.
- Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
- Typing and basic computer skills required.
