Position SummaryPerforms a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, which require independent judgment and initiative. The procedures include but are not limited to:
- Abdominal
- OB/GYN
- Small Parts
- Arterial and Venus Vascular exams
- Interventional guidance procedures
- Call is required
- Able to work independently providing optimal images for diagnosis
- Assist in patient transport
- Able to assist in providing copies of images for patient care
- Able to proficiently provide pertinent patient/procedure information and send images for offsite review
- Become proficient in the use of Cerner for patient/reporting information entry and review.
- Assist physicians/radiologists with interventional exams.

- Registered by the ARDMS in Vascular preferred; other registries a plus/benefit.
- Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually.
- Additional registry in cardiac and/or OB/GYN, Abdominal/general preferred.
- BLS required within six months of employment.
- Previous ultrasound experience required.
- Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
- Typing and basic computer skills required.
