Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of US hospital sonography experience, vascular/echo skills, and RDMS/BLS certification.
Responsibilities- General ultrasound setting with duties including vascular and echocardiography procedures
- Requires proficiency in anatomy, physiology, and operation of various sonographic equipment
- Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential for four 10-hour shifts as agreed upon
- On-call coverage required
- Patient age range varies and care must be appropriate to age served
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Role includes performing a variety of ultrasound imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols
- Operates sonographic equipment and communicates diagnostic findings
- Functions as first point of contact for patients during imaging procedures
- No new graduates will be considered for this position
- COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required
- CPI certification is mandated by the position
- Facility does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- Minimum of 2 years recent US hospital experience as a sonographer in the relevant specialty area
- Graduation from an accredited sonography program required
- Active RDMS and AHA BLS certifications required
- Vascular and echocardiography experience required
- Must provide two references from managers or supervisors verifying recent experience within the last 12 months, including one from the most recent employer
- Current license required if applicable
- Must provide valid SSN, driver's license, and copies of required certifications for consideration
