Senior Analytics Engineer
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you design, build and maintain high quality data models and analytics products that enable self‑service BI and data‑driven decision making across Enza Zaden worldwide.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test and maintain advanced data models and analytics products on the global data platform (e.g. Databricks, dbt, Power
BI). - Lead complex analytics and reporting initiatives with a mid to long‑term horizon.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into sound, scalable and well‑governed solutions.
- Continuously improve data quality, reliability, performance and cost efficiency through effective lifecycle management.
- Ensure data products comply with architecture, security and access management standards, in close cooperation with Architecture, Security and IT.
- Contribute to user enablement, training and knowledge sharing, and coach less experienced colleagues.
You report to the Analytics&Reporting Manager and work closely with fellow analytics engineers, product owners, data consumers, SDPD&P colleagues and IT specialists such as architects and security experts. The role has a global scope and offers a high level of autonomy in an international, collaborative working environment.
Qualifications- University level (WO / Master) with 6–8 years of relevant experience in analytics, reporting or data engineering.
- In‑depth knowledge of analytics and reporting methods, data modelling and data transformations.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure (DP203), Databricks, SQL, dbt, Power
BI, DAX and Git. - Proven experience with Dev Ops practices, including version control, testing and CI/CD for data products.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to align, influence and persuade stakeholders across departments.
- Clear understanding of scalability, architecture principles and data platform lifecycle management.
- A collaborative, team‑focused mindset with natural leadership and coaching skills.
- Comfortable working highly independently, taking ownership of complex challenges and guiding others in using data more effectively.
- Strategic thinking, pragmatic action and a desire to help move the organization forward in its data maturity.
