Internship Overview
Become an Intern in Cell & Plant Technology at Enza Zaden. You will work with senior researchers and the Cell and Plant Technology department to develop and optimise protocols in protoplast technology, contributing to plant breeding and biotechnology projects.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with researchers in the Cell and Plant Technology department.
- Set up and optimise a protocol for protoplast technology.
- Conduct literature review and consult collaborators to formulate experimental proposals.
- Perform laboratory testing of protocols, iteratively refining techniques and parameters.
- Provide results and progress updates to the Senior Researcher.
- Currently enrolled in an HBO program in plant‑, cell‑biology or biotechnology.
- Experience with laboratory work and sterile handling.
- Interest in plant biology, breeding, and biotechnology research.
- Independent, initiative‑driven, and able to work accurately with sensitive protocols.
- Knowledge of Python programming is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
- Available for at least 6 months and preferably as soon as possible.
- Live within commuting distance of Enkhuizen.
