Controls and Automation Specialist role at IKO North America
. This role ensures cross-plant technical support and troubleshooting for electrical and automation systems, enhancing uptime and reliability.

• Supporting the Electrical Engineering department and assisting with project deliverables.
• Providing electrical assistance including troubleshooting, project engineering and project management to all plants.
• Updating existing legacy technologies in different plants to current standards.
• Managing electrical projects including scheduling, financials, and management of contractors' work.
• Labor-hour estimation, work planning, scheduling, coordination, and reporting.
• Updating schematic drawings in AutoCAD as required.
• Programming automation and controls systems and improving existing PLC programs including servo drives and AC drives.
• Designing, testing, commissioning, startup, reconditioning and working with current equipment configurations; engineering new technologies.

• 4-year degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
• 5 years as an Electrical Engineer.
• Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel.
• 4+ years using AutoCAD, MS Office Suite including Project.
• 4+ years with electrical safety code and its application in industrial wiring and power distribution.
• 4+ years working with PLC and HMI applications (including RSlinx, RSlogix5, 500, 5000, & Factory Talk View).
• 4+ years with PLC & HMI systems design, programming, commissioning and startup including system hardware selection, I/O panels and subsystems layout and wiring.
