What You Will Do

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) delivers HR strategies and services to effectively build the organizational capacity required to achieve business goals and imperatives. The HRBP will provide thought leadership in the development of organizational capability through effective change management, talent management and performance management.

The HRBP will provide support to managers and employees throughout Freshpet. The HRBP will serve as a generalist to support the areas of employee/labor relations, benefit/retirement/total rewards, talent management, performance management, organizational effectiveness and learning & development to drive and implement HR initiatives and innovative solutions in support of the business strategy. Leads initiatives to foster positive employee relations, an engaged workforce, a positive culture and effective communication throughout the organization.

Promotes a climate of inclusion through actions, results and behaviors leading to a strong, diverse culture that drives business performance.

Builds effective and sustainable employee relationships. Interprets and administers company policies and provides support in compliance efforts related to labor and employment law. Provides advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Works with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues, addresses concerns and complaints, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Leads processes and tracks analytics for functional areas according to established procedures. May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.
  • Provides guidance and input and reports on workforce and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individuals, participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.
  • Coordinates alignment of business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
  • Consults with management on human resource-related issues, suggests new HR strategies, and provides HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
