Lamination Operator – Alside

Position Summary

The Lamination Operator ensures the proper, efficient, and safe operation of the lamination machine and documents all production data for the department manager.

Key Accountabilities
  • Work safely, completing daily safety audits and preventing accidents to improve the safety environment.
  • Work in a self-directed/team environment.
  • Understand and troubleshoot all incoming material/processes/equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping of your work area; ensure a clean and organized handoff between shifts.
  • Operate material conveyance machinery.
  • Identify quality aspects of products and processes to meet customer needs.
  • Align foam with composite or vinyl panel and understand the assembly process.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisor, lead, and co‑workers.
  • Understand adhesive process and assist with handling glue drums.
  • Assist with and understand profile changeovers and line set‑ups.
  • Rotate between all positions on the lamination line, including sorting, inspecting, assembling, and packaging of product.
  • Perform proper startup/shutdown procedures for the line.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent desirable.
  • Safety conscious orientation.
  • Basic math skills (including fractions) and ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions.
  • Physical strength to lift, push, pull boxes 50 pounds or greater; ability to stand for 8+ hours per day.
  • Willingness to work overtime on short notice and in a hot, fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to use small hand tools (calipers, tape measures, hand saws, etc.).
  • Experience with product quality checks and identifying defective products.
  • Capable of working with standard work processes and rotating between all stations on the lamination line.
  • Problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting.
  • Team‑player mindset and ability to foster a good team atmosphere.
  • Short‑term travel possible for training.
  • Computer skills (data entry).
Work Environment

Manufacturing plant with moving machinery and noise. Employees must wear issued personal protective equipment. Temperature ranges from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and speaking.
