Youth Hub Leader – Newmarket on Fergus 2025 Overview
The Clare Youth Service is an integrated service committed to supporting young people aged 12–25 in County Clare. It provides information on rights and entitlements, represents youth interests, and offers education and training.
We are looking for volunteer leaders to support our Youth Hub in Newmarket on Fergus. The role involves assisting the youth worker in facilitating a drop‑in space for 12‑18‑year‑olds in the Traderee Youth Space on Friday evenings.
Responsibilities- Assist the youth worker in engaging young people in conversations important to them.
- Assist in the facilitation of activities in the youth space.
- Build relationships with members, learn their interests, talents and hopes, and create a safe, enjoyable and trusting atmosphere.
- Follow Clare Youth Service policies and procedures for good practice and child protection.
The minimum time commitment is 3 hours per week over a period of at least 3 months. Volunteers can choose one of two Friday evening sessions:
- 12–14 years: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
- 15–18 years: 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm.
- Good communication skills – both oral and written.
- Interest in working with youth.
- Volunteer must be over 23 years of age.
- Garda Vetting.

Adult Volunteer Leader – No Name Club (Doolin, Co Clare)No Name Clubs is a nationwide charitable youth organisation that works with 15‑to‑18‑year‑olds. In Doolin we are looking for an adult leader to set up and run club meetings, providing a safe, fun environment where young people can feel welcome.
The role involves organising club meetings, supervising and facilitating activities, and providing training and support from No Name Club Development Officers.
Volunteers should have an interest in working with young people, be available for approximately 2 hours per week, and be willing to manage occasional weekend events.
Adult Volunteer Leader – No Name Club (Ennistymon, Co Clare)Similar to the Doolin role, we seek an adult leader to establish a club in Ennistymon, coordinate meetings, provide a safe environment, and support the young people’s development.
The time commitment is about 2 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional weekend events.
Further Volunteer OpportunitiesSuccessful volunteers can support fellow volunteers and youth workers in supporting Corbally Youth Club. Tasks include assisting with youth work programmes such as art, painting, sport, music, summer camps, organising events, variety shows, inter‑club visits, and more.
