Team Leader, Retail

Overview

Join us here at Poundland as a Team Leader and play a key role in supporting the Store and Assistant Manager to lead the team and deliver a fantastic shopping experience for customers every day.

You’ll help create a friendly, welcoming store where customers receive great service and colleagues feel supported on the shop floor to do their best work. From managing deliveries and merchandising to supporting daily operations, you’ll keep standards high on the shop floor and in the warehouse – right at the heart of the action.

In a fast-paced retail environment, you’ll motivate the team, support store performance, and help ensure everything runs efficiently day to day. A positive, proactive approach and strong teamwork skills are essential. You’ll be confident leading by example, supporting colleagues to develop, and keeping the team focused on delivering great results.

Retail experience is needed and some leadership experience would be a bonus but not essential. Most importantly we’re looking for someone with energy, organisation, and a passion for people and customer service. We’ll help you build on your skills with training and development opportunities to support your career with us.

• Assist the Store and Assistant Manager to lead the team and deliver great customer service.
• Manage deliveries and merchandising to maintain store standards.
• Support daily store and warehouse operations and ensure efficient running of activities.
• Motivate the team, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Lead by example, develop colleagues, and maintain high levels of energy and organisation.

We’ll support your development with training and internal programmes. The role of Team Leader can be a first step toward progression into Assistant Store Manager roles and beyond.
