Mechanical Design Engineer

SII Netherlands  is a high‑end engineering consultancy partner for the aerospace, defense, and high‑tech sectors. We are currently seeking a professional  Mechanical Design Engineer  to strengthen our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical integrity and documentation of advanced systems within an international project environment.

Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Technical Product Documentation (TPD) for standard products. Your focus lies on accuracy, compliance, and cross‑functional alignment.

Documentation Management:
Leading the generation and maintenance of TPD, including complex Bills of Materials (BOM), 3D models, and detailed drawings.

Stakeholder Alignment:
Collaborating closely with System, Electrical, and EMC Engineers to ensure mechanical solutions meet all multidisciplinary requirements.

Engineering Excellence:
Analyzing technical bottlenecks and implementing mechanical improvements for existing product lines.

Project Coordination:
Managing work packages within an international context, ensuring high‑quality output and timely delivery.

Your Profile
We are looking for an engineer who combines technical proficiency with a proactive, professional attitude.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (HBO/WO).

Technical Expertise:
Proven experience with 3D CAD (preferably CREO Parametric) and PDM/PLM systems (preferably Windchill).

Communication:
Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.

Competencies:

You are analytical, persistent, and possess the communication skills necessary to navigate a complex stakeholder environment.

Nationality:
Due to the nature of our projects and security requirements, candidates must hold Dutch nationality.

Proactive Mindset:
You take ownership of your tasks and actively reach out to colleagues to resolve technical challenges.
