Vision engineer

Responsibilities  You will be responsible for designing optics & vision systems, performing trade‑off studies such as cost‑benefit analysis, accuracy and throughput, and developing algorithms for information extraction. You will be involved in the full life cycle of product development, contribute to the verification and qualification of the created solution in our vision lab or on‑site, and provide technical content support to the project managers during acquisition and transfer of the project result to the customer.

You will play an important role as a sparring partner for your colleagues in a strongly interactive, multidisciplinary environment. Together with a project manager you will oversee and manage the process from quotation to implementation at the client’s site, acting as a domain specialist. You will monitor technical progress, planning, and budget, taking action where necessary, ensuring good communication with the client, cohesion within the project team, and internal coordination within Demcon.

Calibration strategies for precision measurements, e.g. dot patterns for MTF estimations
