Finance & Administration Officer (f/m/d)

Our HUG Engineering business is looking for a Finance & Administration Officer to join our subsidiary in Enschede, the Netherlands. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial operations, smooth administration, and compliance with internal procedures. You will work closely with our external accountant, local team, and the international finance controlling team to support reliable reporting and business continuity.

• Support bookkeeping activities, treasury and reporting
• Collaborate with the external accountant by obtaining, providing and validating financial information
• Following customer invoicing, monitor overdue balances and coordinate payment follow‑up
• Support monthly closing activities
• Handle local administrative tasks such as
  • Managing contracts (leasing, insurances, utilities, subscriptions, etc.)
  • Processing travel expense declarations
• Collaborate with the international finance controlling team
• Ensure compliance with HUG finance procedures and internal control standards

• Successfully completed Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration or comparable
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Exact Online and/or ABACUS is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and organizational skills
• Hands‑on‑mentality with a process‑and result oriented mindset
• Communicative, reliable, and structured way of working
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel and Power Point
• Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written);
  German is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a small team environment and proactively improve processes
