Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Machinist Skilled on 2nd shift to setup and operate machining equipment.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 1:15pm - 9:45pm

Your responsibilities include:

  • Operate various types of production equipment.
  • Load, unload, deburr, and inspect parts being run.
  • Check oil, coolant, grease, and any other light maintenance items needed.
  • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform basic preparation of setups (only as allowed by supervisor on PSPF 013, posted in that cell).
  • Actively participate in High Performance Teams and company-sponsored training programs.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal instructions is required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a CNC lathe, shapers, hobbers (& manual gear checking equipment), or mill operator or the equivalent. Ability to demonstrate this knowledge to the supervisor.
  • Previous experience in this field preferred but not required.
Physical Demands / Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception.

This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Compensation
  • Pay Range: $23.63/hr to $29.58/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
