Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Compensation$16.66 - $23.00
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends).
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their training.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members.
- Make sure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.
- Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly, refunds issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged in the returns area correctly.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Ensure communication of Zipline messages, and delegation/completion of Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members comply with company policies, including adherence to posted work schedules, approvals for changes/deviations, and accurate clocking in/out.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, money/deposits security according to policy, and securing building and vehicles.
- Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required:
Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
Desired:
Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification;
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
