* Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly, Monday thru Friday with an occasional Saturday possible.

** General Summary*
* Performs a variety of functions related to transported patients that are confined to a wheelchair in the accordance with appropriate rules, regulations and protocols.

** Responsibilities*

* Essential Functions:

*
* + Provides prompt, courteous transportation services to patients who lack the means of transportation and / or who require transportation via wheelchair van to and/or from facilities, private residents, or practice locations.

+ For scheduled transports, arrives at patient location on-time or up to ten minutes early, barring unforeseen circumstances.

+ Maintain an operational knowledge of all Well Span EMS equipment.

+ Maintain professional and empathetic attitude when encountering family member(s) and patient(s)

+ Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers and facility staff.

+ Maintain all equipment in a clean, functional manner.

+ Responsible for providing transportation services to patients in an orderly, safe and timely manner.

+ Responsible for maintaining appropriate records for each transport accurately and completely.

+ Responsible for the daily cleaning of the interior and exterior of the wheelchair van.

* + Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor, and staff by complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.

+ Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

+ Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.

+ Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

* + Less than 1 year Relevant experience. Required

** Driver's License Statement:*
* Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by Well Span Risk Management.
