OverviewAssist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations. The goal is to receive hands‑on training that prepares the manager in training for a management position at another store or future location.
Responsibilities- Supervise professional and retail operations of the store and team members.
- Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members.
- Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store manager meetings.
- Train new team members and handle performance evaluations.
- Assist in the hiring process, including scheduling and interviews.
- Support safety compliance and provide appropriate training.
- Make sales calls with or without the store manager.
- Maintain delivery fleet records and ensure the store is neat, clean, and organized.
- Learn to utilize the electronic scheduling and timekeeping system and payroll entry functions.
- Monitor gross profit and review key performance metrics daily and monthly.
- High School Diploma.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.
- O'Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
- Completed O'Reilly management training program.
- Advanced computer skills.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
