Role

We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.

As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Global Banking School, you will deliver management related modules, develop comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, and keep up to date with latest developments in your field.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess student work ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Employ a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
  • Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and administrative duties.
  • Stay current with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing feedback.
  • Experience accurate reporting and maintaining thorough, organised student records.
  • Work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Work well with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period (to be completed within three years).
  • Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes.
