Up to £44,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm

Ashley Park School is an independent specialist school for autistic young people aged 5–19. The role is based at the Epsom site and will support students primarily in the 11–19 age range.

This Science Teacher will design, deliver and assess engaging lessons for individuals and small groups up to GCSE level. The role includes contributing to nurture‑based programmes, monitoring and reporting on student progress, developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans, creating a safe classroom environment, collaborating with multi‑professional staff, supporting self‑regulation and independence, and contributing to whole‑school development, safeguarding practice and the wider School Development Plan.

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Science lessons for individuals and small groups up to GCSE level
• Contribute to nurture‑based programmes that support students’ social, emotional and academic development
• Monitor, record and report on student progress, ensuring personalised learning pathways
• Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans
• Create a safe, stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment with appropriate resources
• Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and multi‑professional colleagues
• Support students in developing self‑regulation, independence and positive behaviour
• Contribute to whole‑school development, safeguarding practice and the wider School Development Plan

• QTS required
• Ability to teach Science up to GCSE
• Experience working with young people who present with additional needs or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑professional team
• Commitment to safeguarding, high standards and continuous professional development
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs and ensure meaningful progression
