• Relevant recent teaching experience of English GCSE and Functional Skills to young people.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Possess a C & G Award in Education & Training or higher recognised teaching qualification.

• Teach GCSE English Language to 16‑18 year‑old students.
• Teach Functional Skills English to 16‑18 year‑old students.
• Teach GCSE and Functional Skills English to adult students, including those on apprenticeship frameworks.
• Use Google Classroom and other educational software confidently.
• Monitor student progress and intervene with target setting, review and support.
• Contribute to and deliver the assessment plan and practical work of the department.
