As a Technical Director, you will shape some of our exciting transformational programmes for critical infrastructure, leading in business development and civil engineering on iconic projects at home and abroad. You will drive technical excellence, work closely with teams across the UK and overseas, and bring pioneering innovation and vision to the practice.
We specialise in all aspects of heavy civil engineering across Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Water, delivering industry‑leading solutions throughout the project lifecycle from design to construction.
- Be accountable for technical delivery, safety, and high‑quality standards across multiple projects and programmes, acting as a point of escalation for complex technical matters.
- Set technical strategic direction for projects and bid proposals, and act as a subject‑matter expert.
- Lead an agenda of technical excellence and continuous improvement and be accountable for design quality assurance.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Grow, develop and manage nuclear engineering capability within the practice, contributing to advances in knowledge and providing vision and inspiration to others.
- Be a strategic partner for clients, sought out as a go‑to person within your technical field.
- Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer.
- Influential and respected leadership internally and externally.
- Proven nuclear‑sector leadership experience in the analysis and design of nuclear safety‑related civil engineering structures.
- Multi‑disciplinary integration and coordination experience and expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge in design and analysis of heavy civil engineering structures, including reinforced concrete and steel, across all design phases and construction, with familiarity to current design standards and working practices (British and American codes).
- Nationally or internationally recognised subject‑matter expertise in your discipline(s).
- A strategic and transformational mindset.
