Live Hospital Project | Surrey
5 Days on Site | 2-3 Month Contract | £300-£350 per day
We're working with a consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Asset Surveyor for a short-term contract on a live hospital site in Surrey, starting end of January 2026.
This is a hands-on role requiring full-time site presence, surveying mechanical assets across the entire hospital estate and producing accurate, high-quality asset data to support ongoing estates and facilities planning.
The Role
You will be responsible for completing detailed mechanical asset surveys across a large, operational healthcare environment.
Key responsibilities include:
· Surveying and recording mechanical assets across the full hospital site
· Capturing accurate asset data including condition, age, specification and compliance
· Working methodically within a live hospital environment, adhering to all site protocols
· Producing clear, structured survey outputs and asset registers
· Liaising with estates teams and project stakeholders as required

What We're Looking For
· Minimum 4 years' experience in a building services consultancy or contractor environment
· Proven experience carrying out mechanical asset surveys
· Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
· Experience working on live environments; healthcare experience desirable but not essential
· Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet programme deadlines
· Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy
This is a straightforward, well-defined contract for an experienced Mechanical Asset Surveyor who is comfortable working on site and delivering high-quality survey data in a healthcare setting.
