Job Description Overview
Do you have the ambition, enthusiasm and technical capability to work with us as a hydrogeologist within the water resources sector? We are looking for someone to join our successful Water Management Consultancy groundwater resources team in delivering a growing portfolio of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a hydrogeologist looking to progress their career in a vitally important industry with an internationally renowned company.
Responsibilities- Help deliver our portfolio of groundwater projects, working with hydrogeologist technical leads and other technical disciplines.
- Undertake work assigned to you to a high standard, self-checking for accuracy and quality.
- Engage in complex problem solving that may include data gathering and processing, calculations and modelling, conceptualisation, and report writing.
- Work closely with the groundwater resources team and collaborate with other technical disciplines in the Water Management Consultancy team and beyond, delivering on projects relating to water supply, strategic planning, resource optimisation, and environmental assessment.
- A degree in science, engineering or mathematics and a post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related subject.
- Demonstrable experience as a hydrogeologist within consultancy, water company, regulator or academic fields, including water resources hydrogeology, hydrology, signal and pumping tests, borehole design, groundwater flooding or water resource planning.
- An understanding of UK hydrogeology and the regulatory framework of UK water management.
- Commitment to work towards chartership through a relevant professional body.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, report-writing and presentational skills with an eye for detail.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to solve challenging water resources problems within a high-achieving team environment.

Security ClearanceThis role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV). If required, candidates will need to provide proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer.
