Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a senior civil or structural engineer or consultant with experience in structural design and assessment, finite element analysis, technical report writing and client engagement. The role supports new build nuclear projects including Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, SMRs and future fusion reactor technologies. Working a minimum of 3 days per week from our Power New Build office or client site.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary projects and deliver technically sound design of new building structures.
• Lead, undertake and review design work; take responsibility for project ownership.
• Work collaboratively to understand client needs and deliver on time, cost and quality.
• Write bids and tenders to win work.
• Manage, lead and mentor staff.

• Relevant level of professional experience in civil-structural design and analysis, research and development, project engineering or design consultancy.
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, power or rail.
• Strong technical capability in steelwork and reinforced concrete, and finite element analysis.
• Capability to lead and influence client relationships, inspire colleagues and develop staff.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer.
