About the RoleWe're looking for an organised, commercially minded professional to take ownership of the governance and day-to-day oversight of several large UK Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, including one of the UK's largest legacy pension arrangements.
This is a unique opportunity to sit at the centre of pensions, governance, project management and stakeholder engagement. You'll act as the key link between trustees, advisers, pension administrators, finance, legal and HR teams, ensuring schemes are managed effectively, compliantly and in the best interests of members.

What You'll Be Doing- Act as the primary company contact for trustees, pension advisers and service providers.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and governance of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes.
- Coordinate trustee meetings, business plans, agendas and follow-up actions.
- Monitor adviser performance, budgets and service delivery.
- Support pension member communications and assist with complex employee queries.
- Maintain governance documentation, reporting packs and operational trackers.
- Work closely with Finance, Payroll, Legal and HR teams to manage pension-related activities.
- Support year-end accounting, board reporting and governance requirements.
- Assist with pension projects, strategy initiatives and regulatory compliance activities.
- Provide support on M&A due diligence and pension-related integration projects.
- Contribute to wider retirement, employee share plan and financial wellbeing programmes.
You'll likely have experience in one of the following areas:
- Pension consultancy
- Pension administration oversight
- Reward and benefits
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Experience working with UK trust-based pension schemes and/or pension risk transfer projects.
- Experience with DB pension schemes.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Confidence working with senior leaders, trustees and external advisers.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver independently.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
