main duties of the jobto provide rehabilitation support services.
to undertake specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients in the community. Treatment may occur in the department, patients’ home or other appropriate setting. Treatment may be provided for physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech and language therapy.
to carry own patient caseload, assessing and treating routine patients within guidelines agreed by the treating therapist. Monitor progress and make minor alterations to patient treatment programmes as required.
work unsupervised reporting back patient progress and informing the treating therapist of any problems. Receiving guidance and advice on an almost daily basis.
