Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Ashley Park – Epsom & Walton-on-Thames, Surrey KT18 7LR
(some working across both sites but main focus at Epsom site)
Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 8:30am - 4:30pm Mon - Fri
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)

This is why we aim to have a multidisciplinary clinical team for each of our sites to provide this vital provision in collaboration with our education teams.
Creating an environment where our pupils can truly flourish and grow in independence is key.
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Ashley Park school.
Working collaboratively with the education team, you will support the embedding of clinical excellence at a whole school level for pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the OFG pyramid model of clinical delivery, working in an MDT to target support at a whole school level where possible. You will be supported by the standards team and the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working.
This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be supported in case management and planning work, any required assessments and interventions by the Lead Clinician and your designated clinical supervisor. You will also contribute to staff training and consultation as required.

Essential Criteria :- Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Some relevant experience in a previously held job of engaging and working with individuals presenting with complex and diverse communication profiles
- Some knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma informed practice
- Some experience of multi-disciplinary working in a range of settings
- Some experience of communicating with/working with families/relatives and carers
- An interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice
- Good relationship building, analytical and judgmental skills
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Competent in core areas of SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
- Knowledge of different SaLT assessment tools, types of intervention and knowledge of how to formulate support plans based on needs profile
- Knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team
- Willingness to attend training and working towards further qualifications relevant to the client group supporting
