While you may not get a full spa treatment you will certainly be welcomed with VIP treatment by a settled team, looking for an additional RVN to support them on a part‑time basis.
Aboutyour new role!
This part‑time RVN role involves 8.5‑hour shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is ideal for a newly qualified RVN due to ample support, or for someone with a few years who wants to reduce their hours.
Your rota will include a 1:4 branch Saturday rotation, a 1:10 Saturday rotation in Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon, and one bank holiday per year. There are no on‑call requirements.
As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor.
Epsom itself is a beautiful and prestigious market town in Surrey, well‑connected with easy access to the M25 and direct train lines into central London. Location wise, Epsom gives you the best of both worlds—being out of the city but with ample access when needed.
Benefits and SalaryOur RVN salary band is £32,000 to £36,000 FTE (full‑time equivalent based on 40 hours per week) depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
