"There will be an opportunity to discuss the base site for this role Cardiology PPC roles require cross site working, but the successful candidate will be primarily based on either the St Helier or Epsom site. There is scope to consider basing the position at either the St Helier or Epsom site, depending on Candidate preference and discussion at interview."
Person specification Knowledge Essential criteria- Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard
- Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets e.g. PAS, Excel or similar applications
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection principles
- Knowledge of health and safety
- Understanding of principles of equality and diversity
- Knowledge of NHS service provision including national waiting time standards
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes
- Good general education with GCSE or equivalent in English at grade C or above.
- ECDL
- NVQ or working towards NVQ or equivalent
- A-Level English
- Experience of using a full range of IT/Patient administration systems
- Experience working with Cerner
- Experience working in a similar patient administration role in a hospital/health care setting
- Knowledge & awareness of diversity and human rights as appropriate to your role
- Ability to communicate effectively to ensure high standards of care, treatment, service or support as appropriate to your role,
- Ability to understand an individual's communication, physical & emotional needs; recognise their needs and preferences
- Ability to provide a customer focused service
- Knowledge of dealing with customer complaints and experience of customer care.
- The ability to prioritise tasks effectively without direct supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Evidence of ability to prioritise workload and work without direct supervision
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
