Cardiology Specialist Nurse - Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic - Band 7
If you are committed to Cardiology, love ECGs and want the chance to work autonomously in a chest pain clinic, you will be well supported and trained within our ever expanding department.
Responsibilities- Assess chest pain.
- Diagnose angina and recommend treatment and diagnostic investigations.
- Interpret results and work closely with the wider cardiology team.
- Work independently with Cardiology nurses, the cath lab and consultants to ensure swift assessment and access to early coronary intervention.
- Registered professional (NMC) with evidence of regular updating.
- Evidence of significant professional development and experience with a focus on cardiology, particularly heart disease.
- Experience working in RACPC Non-Medical Independent prescriber.
- Nurse practitioner qualification or equivalent Level 6/7.
- Extensive clinical experience in the management of CHD and Cardiology.
- Experience of clinical audit.
- Evidence of ability to develop services and influence outcomes.
- Proven commitment to cardiology nursing evidenced by professional development.
- IV competent.
- Cannulation and venepuncture competent.
- ILS competent.
- Recent teaching experience at senior nursing level.

7. Salary £53,751 to £60,651 a year pro‑rata inclusive of HCAS.
