Kitchen Porter – Thomas Franks Ltd
Location: Ashtead Park, Surrey
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £12.56 per hour
Hours: 40 per week
Role OverviewAshtead Park is a day and boarding co‑educational school for pupils from year 3 to 6th form. The catering team serves 950 students and teachers daily and provides Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, Tuckshop, 6th‑form café, and hospitality services. This role supports 7‑day operation and offers free on‑site parking.
Key Responsibilities- Keep the kitchen hygienic, safe and clean to the highest standards.
- Assist chefs with light food preparation where required.
- Operate the industrial dishwasher and use cleaning equipment, including air filter and extraction systems.
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and heavy catering machinery.
- Experience with pot‑washing duties is an advantage.
- Excellent customer‑service skills.
- Strong team player.
- Can‑do attitude and organisational skills.
- Good verbal and written English; reading skills should be at least a reasonable standard.
- Experience in a similar customer or food‑preparation environment is preferred.
