Car Sales Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established dealer group based in Epsom, for the position of Car Sales Manager. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced motor trade professional to lead a dynamic dealership team and contribute significantly to franchise growth.

Duties of the Car Sales Manager:
 
* Manage both new and used car sales departments to optimise profitability
 
* Source used car stock actively through dealer transfers and consignments
 
* Oversee used car preparation, photography, and advertising to ensure quality presentation
 
* Provide accurate finance quotations and assist customers through the sales process
 
* Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve targets and improve performance
 
* Monitor stock levels, including new and used vehicles, and manage dealer transfers
 
* Enhance franchise growth via strategic sales initiatives
 
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures
 
* Support the sales team throughout the customer journey, from initial contact to deal closure
 
* Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and ensure exceptional service
Requirements of the Car Sales Manager:
 
* Proven experience as a Car Sales Manager within the motor trade
 
* Extensive knowledge of new and used car sales processes
 
* Demonstrable leadership skills and team management experience
 
* Strong understanding of dealership IT systems such as Kerridge and Dealerweb
 
* Ability to thrive in a target-driven, fast-paced environment
