Senior Digital Product Designer UIUX

Banner Health is hiring a Senior Digital Product Designer UIUX to support its Digital Experience team, with a focus on the Atria Design System value stream. In this role, you will serve as the primary designer shaping intuitive consumer health digital experiences, guiding concepts from discovery through testing, delivery, and ongoing iteration across multiple platforms.

• Lead key projects spanning design, development, documentation, debugging, and support of the user interface to deliver the best possible user experience.
• Articulate, develop, and model end-user experience through visual design, keeping interactions simple, efficient, and consistent.
• Prioritize and manage work to meet critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain awareness of departmental policy and management initiatives.
• Create end-to-end experiences from whiteboard sketches to high-fidelity digital deliverables, including responsive web, native mobile, voice, and emerging digital solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prioritize deliverables, manage design assets on time, and advocate for the strongest user experience for the brand.
• Handle multiple projects by multitasking and self-managing deadlines for competing priorities.
• Own work from concept to completion and continually incorporate feedback to improve products.
• Deliver modern, accessible experiences using user studies, user flows, wireframes, UI designs, prototypes, annotations, and related artifacts.
• Design web and native UI transitions and animations, partnering with front-end developers and software engineers on implementation.
• Map user experiences to business and user requirements, and clearly communicate UX strategy.
• Assess and optimize feature performance by participating in usability testing and user research, and by interpreting analytics data.
• Translate brand and Banner services into compelling interactive experiences through close collaboration with managers, front-end developers, software engineers, and designers.
• Communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to team members and leadership in the absence of the design team director.
• Develop, maintain, and uphold interactive style guides, design systems, and enterprise standards to support continuity across digital products.
• Stay current on UI/UX trends, programs, methodologies, and best practices.
• Design and evaluate visual human interfaces using user-centered design principles.
• Implement insights from usability testing and user research, including analysis of analytics data, into final UI design outputs.
• Work with product development to design online user experiences and ensure those experiences support the goals of the online entity.
• Mentor UI/UX designers and provide direction when the department leader is not available.
• Provide guidance to designers in leader's absence or as needed, and confer with the leader on unusual situations.
• Work independently and coach other professionals as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User Interface/Experience, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or relevant field, or equivalent experience/education.
• Strong knowledge of operations in applicable responsibility areas, typically achieved through seven plus years in interactive design, including product design (responsive web, native app, interactive displays) and brand marketing (campaigns, social).
• Portfolio demonstrating a mix of UX and UI skills across multiple devices (responsive web, native, etc.).
• Expertise in graphic design, web frameworks, and systems design.
• Proven ability to complete projects on time and on budget in inventive, collaborative environments with exceptional outcomes.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams with solid understanding of Agile product development.
• Strong working knowledge of low- and high-fidelity prototyping techniques, including selecting the right approach for the scenario.
• Expert proficiency in modern design tools:
  Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite

• Experience coding HTML, CSS, and Java Script (no coding required for this role).
• Proven experience testing, measuring, and refining designs using customer feedback and market data.
• Agency and interactive studio experience strongly preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
