Cobblestone Car Wash is hiring Great People! We currently operate 45 sites in the Denver, Colorado area and have plans for continuous expansion. Cobblestone, a Spotless Brands Company, is one of the fastest growing and largest car wash platforms in the United States.
OverviewThe Site Manager reports to the District Manager and is responsible for providing team leadership and support to the Assistant Site Manager and Associates. This role oversees daily operations, including managing staff, responding to customer complaints, maintaining equipment and facilities, and maintaining inventory.
Responsibilities- Manage daily operations and administrative duties to ensure smooth site performance, including opening/closing procedures and scheduling
- Oversee financial aspects such as cash reconciliation and maintaining financial records
- Ensure staff understands job responsibilities and demonstrates proficiency in all tasks
- Engage with the local community through participation in community organizations
- Back up and fill open shifts with little to no notice when needed
- Maintain site controls, deposits, inventory, cashier functionality, and discount codes
- Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll/HR, Marketing and other departments to support operations
- Monitor performance data and apply insights to daily operations to increase productivity and sales
- Respond to administrative duties and deadlines, including scheduling, purchasing, and inventory management
- Manage the location’s budget and support business development efforts in the area
- Ensure facility security and report potential breaches; communicate with customers and team members respectfully
- Track crew member hours to avoid overtime when possible
- Collaborate with HR and DM to recruit and hire; ensure new associates are onboarded and trained on policy, procedures, and operations
- Resolve employee conflicts in a fair and policy-aligned manner
- Work with HR on disciplinary actions and terminations
- Conduct timely, fact-based performance evaluations and provide regular feedback
- Create team and individual sales and operational competitions to support performance goals
- Build brand loyalty by establishing trust with customers and meeting expectations with integrity
- Provide excellent customer service consistently
- Maintain a warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional image to customers
- Handle escalated customer complaints professionally, referring only complex issues to higher management
- Maintain the site facility, including cleanliness, equipment maintenance/repair, chemical handling, and quality of wash service; manage vendor relationships
- Provide safety and operational training to new associates and ongoing training to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
- Ensure proper PPE usage and maintain inventory
- Oversee uniform policy/process
- Perform duties of a Car Wash Associate as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-5 years of a management role in a car wash or other customer-focused retail establishment
- Ability to demonstrate leadership through personal behavior
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages; ability to learn and interpret P&L statements
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Decision-making guided by company policies; refer non-standard problems to higher management as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); prior experience with a POS system desired
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus in many locations
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Must be able to stand for long periods; may walk on uneven or wet surfaces
- Must be able to use a computer and multiple technology solutions
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Frequent stooping, crouching, bending; frequent use of fingers, hands and arms
- Frequent twisting, carrying, reaching, pushing and pulling
- Occasional climbing of ladders
- Noise levels range from moderate to loud
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Local travel by vehicle may be required
- Typically works 50+ hours per week, with possible meetings outside regular hours and weekends
