The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of all credit union buildings, facilities, and grounds that include but are not limited to upkeep, painting, construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, masonry and carpentry items. Also coordinates and/or performs preventive maintenance, oversees the credit union's vehicle fleet, purchases supplies, is responsible for courier duties, place/retrieve boxes in storage and performs special projects.

Required Knowledge and

Skills:
  • Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, permanent and supplemental generator operations, elevator systems, as well as safety protocols are required.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and lighting systems; basic carpentry skills; proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Organizational skills to maintain records, inventory, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Three to five years of experience in custodial, building maintenance, or general labor. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
