JOB SUMMARY:

The Preschool Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher to accomplish the successful operation of his/her classroom to insure quality early childhood instruction.

• Works with the teacher and children to provide excellence in service, instruction and communication
• Adheres to preschool policies and procedures
• Attends all training, staff meetings and other Preschool functions
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be highly motivated
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Good organizational skills
• An understanding of preschool curriculum and childhood development
• Must have a strong desire to work with children

• Preschool experience preferred
• Must have experience working with parents
• Early Childhood degree preferred
• Must have current certificates in CPR, First Aid and AED (within 60 days of employment)
• Must be fingerprinted and pass CBI and FBI background checks within 60 days of employment
