Overview
Information Technology Specialist - Microsoft Power Platform at Toyota Boshoku America. This role designs, develops, and implements automation solutions and system integrations to improve efficiency and productivity across the organization.
Responsibilities- Act as a Subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Fabric, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, and other technologies.
- Perform end-to-end process analysis, identify automation opportunities, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including functional requirements, project plans, process workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop, unit test, assist in UAT, and implement automation for new processes across TBA locations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and revise automations to ensure accuracy and efficiency and sustained benefit realization.
- Work with business stakeholders and management to gather feedback and optimize automation solutions for performance and scalability.
- Anticipate risks in automation and develop testing and implementation standards/processes based on prior issues.
- Help establish standards and process guidance, ensure compliance, and support the TBA Automation COE (Center of Excellence).
- Own and maintain the roadmap of automation activities and complete management reporting as requested (e.g., backlog, KPIs).
- Develop an understanding of current TBA systems and processes, identify improvements, evaluate priorities, and manage project activities.
- Stay informed on modern technologies and potential automation solutions for consideration at TBA locations.
- Train or assist team members in automation efforts, including citizen developers.
- Maintain effective communication with consulting resources, functional TMs, and process owners.
- Collaborate with TBA TMs to ensure activities align with established standards and change management.
- Partner with TB group companies to share ideas and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Greater than six (6) years of relevant experience and academic preparation or ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Greater than three (3) years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI/ MS Fabric, Copilot Studio).
- Working knowledge of Power Fx, Python, JSON, HTML, CSS, XML.
- Strong knowledge and experience in integrating with ERP systems and other interfacing applications via API and custom connectors.
- Strong database, data modelling and visualization skills (Power BI or similar).
- Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals / Power Platform Developer Certifications.
- Working knowledge/experience in the Azure AI platform.
- Experience with Oracle EBS (12.2.10) system.
- Toyota Tier 1 or other OEM Tier 1 system development experience.
- Basic math skills; good presentation and communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail; leadership and self-starting work ethic.
- Strong organization, planning, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately and collaborate across levels of the organization.
- Excellent scheduling, collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with resources and tools in a multicultural environment; function independently or with good judgment in a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Japanese or Spanish is helpful but not required.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office, Windows, and standard office applications.
- Proficiency in low code/no code development tools is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle EBS, BI systems is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds; travel by automobile and airplane as required.
