KEM Department Lead | Second Shift | Erlanger, KY

The KEM lead is responsible for safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement in the KEM Cell. The KEM Lead will assign and direct the work of up to 8 hourly employees. Employees work as machine adjusters, machine operators, and inspectors.

• Maintain a safe environment for all assigned employees
• Develop skillsets of all employees in KEM cell
• Assign and direct work based on scheduling input
• Oversee critical-to-quality and relational-to-quality processes
• Be a go-to-person for internal customers for all KEM-related issues
• Maintain the highest levels of productivity as it relates to machine uptime, quality output, and speed
• Conduct scheduled inventory counts
• Use SAP and Microsoft Office to record work, communicate with others, and document performance issues
• Knowledge or ability to learn all operation of all equipment in the KEM cell
• Embrace and lead continuous improvement efforts, as it relates to the VEST certification process

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in a leadership role;
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience,
• Proficient computers skills including: MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and a working knowledge of SAP.
• Sitting at workstation as little as 20% of work time, standing and walking as much as 80% depending on assignment
• Lift / push / pull up to 35 pounds
• Ability to twist, reach, squat, and bend
• Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
• Full color vision
• Involves moderate risks or discomforts and special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, pallets, trucks and machines.

Second Shift: 2:45pm-10:45pm Mon-Fri

$25-26/hr
